About Us
Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus (GMMC) is a community-driven public institution, founded through the collective initiative of educators, political leaders, religious figures, and community advocates who aimed to transform their region into a hub of academic excellence. Situated in the culturally and historically significant Kaski district in Nepal, GMMC is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and operates under the guidance of the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a revered religious site. As a non-profit and community-centered campus, GMMC is committed to delivering accessible, affordable education to students, especially those from underrepresented and low-income backgrounds, enabling them to pursue their academic and career aspirations. GMMC’s facilities and physical infrastructure were developed through various funding sources, underscoring a commitment to establishing a comprehensive and well-supported educational environment. The campus occupies over 3,200 square meters of land, featuring five main buildings designed to support the college’s diverse academic and administrative needs. Block A, financed by the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave Management Committee along with support from the University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal, is dedicated specifically to the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) program. Blocks B and C, constructed with grants from the Government of India, are allocated for administrative and instructional functions, while Blocks D and E, funded by UGC Nepal, house the library and the campus canteen. This multi-faceted infrastructure supports GMMC’s mission to deliver an enriching educational experience and serves as a foundation for growth. At the heart of GMMC’s mission is its aspiration to become a leading educational institution in the region and nation. The college envisions itself as a premier provider of quality education, dedicated to fostering academic rigor and addressing community needs through multidisciplinary programs. The institution’s mission is to offer accessible and affordable education while promoting a culture of research and encouraging the development of practical skills among students. GMMC also aims to bridge the gap between academia and the community by leveraging the expertise of local and national professionals to benefit the region and address social challenges. To realize its mission, GMMC focuses on key goals centered around academic excellence, research integration, capacity development, and community involvement. The campus is dedicated to enhancing academic quality by offering specialized programs that are designed to align with the needs of the job market and foster student employability. A strong emphasis on research characterizes GMMC’s approach, encouraging both students and faculty to engage in research activities that generate knowledge and contribute to societal advancement. In addition, GMMC prioritizes the professional development of its faculty and staff, aiming to create a supportive learning environment with modern resources, updated curriculum, and highly skilled educators. Community outreach is another core goal, with the campus working to forge sustainable partnerships and identify financial resources that support its mission of delivering quality education while benefiting the community.
Currently, GMMC offers five key academic programs: Master of Business Studies (MBS), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Information Management (BIM), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). The BHM and BIM programs follow an eight-semester format, while the BBS and B.Ed are structured as four-year annual programs. The MBS program operates on a four-semester schedule. These diverse academic offerings ensure that GMMC meets the varied educational and career goals of its students, equipping them with the knowledge and competencies needed to excel in a range of professional fields. The founding vision of GMMC was to make quality education accessible and affordable for students from disadvantaged, rural communities in Kaski and neighboring districts. By offering low tuition fees and scholarship opportunities, the campus provides significant support to students who face financial barriers to higher education. GMMC’s inclusive approach aims to empower marginalized groups, including a high proportion of female students and those from farming and low-income families, by providing them with pathways to academic and career success. The campus is dedicated to delivering a socially relevant, globally-informed education that aligns with both national priorities and international standards, promoting a culture of inclusivity and non-discrimination.
